A scene from the “Levantando Polvo” project showing a 3D scan of a person lying in a dark, textured digital landscape. A bright beam of light obscures the face, creating a surreal atmosphere within the dimly illuminated environment.

3D animation created in Unreal Engine during a research project, developed as a part of a hybrid performance merging dance, video, sound and text.

The video explores the landscape as both a physical and symbolic space - one shaped by memory, relational presence, and absence. Using 3D scanning as a form of archival worldbuilding, the animation captures fragile digital remnants - porous surfaces marked by loss, incomplete yet emotionally resonant.

In the process inspired by critical fabulation method, the landscape becomes a witness and participant - less a backdrop, more a dynamic entity that feels, resists, and remembers. The digital world formed here is a shared, evolving space - rooted in gesture, weather, memory, and the act of imagining together.
