There is an object. It’s earthy, dense with texture — it carries the residue of time, a memory that solidified into form. Its scale is unclear, as it turns, it loses itself: the surface disperses into particles, drifts apart, then pulls back into coherence. It cannot settle, caught in constant flux between solid and disintegrated state.

Behind it there is a non-space. A mirrored void where vertical orientation has been dissolved — up and down made equivalent, depth blurred in contrast to the changing states of the artifact. A ghostly surrounding in which a present state is not required to be read as legible.

These two layers — the micro scale of the intimate object and the macro scale of the formless environment — are in the same condition. Both perpetually between states. Both refusing the stability that focused attention typically demands.

exo0010001111 approaches presence as a somatic experience and locates it in the body moving through a latent space – between states, frequencies, micro and macro perspectives of texture and weight. The artifact appeals to haptic instinct first. In a friction less digital landscape, density itself creates friction between perception and presence. The viewer’s instinct to resolve what they see is activated, then held in suspension – presence confirmed through the felt experience of searching.
